Overview

Telemundo was launching a brand-new sports talk show, *El Pelotazo*, and needed a full brand identity and graphics package for their studio. As the Creative Director, I worked directly with the client to understand their goals and led the creative vision from initial concept through to final execution.
I collaborated with a team of concept and motion artists to design and execute the visual aesthetic, ensuring it captured the energy and tone of the show. Throughout the process, I worked closely with the client to incorporate weekly feedback and keep the creative aligned with their vision.

The Challenge

As a brand-new sports show on Telemundo, creating the visual identity from scratch offered a nearly blank slate to work from. While creatively exciting, the range of possible directions was incredibly broad. With only a few weeks from ideation to delivery, staying aligned with both the client and the team of artists was crucial to delivering a cohesive and impactful final product under tight timelines.

The Solution

During the concepting phase, one of the directions I pitched that really resonated with the team was centered around bright, bold colors, oversized 3D environments, and Rube Goldberg-inspired machines. This fun, playful style quickly evolved into the final package—featuring high-energy animations, kinetic camera moves, and sequences that followed balls flying through frame to drive momentum and excitement.

The Results

The reaction from the client and stakeholders was overwhelmingly positive, with the work exceeding expectations across the board. The success of this project not only elevated the brand but also helped secure future business opportunities.
