Tomorrow We Fight

Overview

As the LCS approached its 10-year anniversary, the challenge was to honor its legacy while ushering in the next generation of pro players. As Creative Director, I oversaw the entire creative process—from early brainstorming and ideation to stakeholder presentations, RFPs for production partners, onsite execution, and final delivery.
This project was incredibly meaningful for both myself and the fans. It offered a rare opportunity to reconnect with retired legends—those who laid the foundation for esports in North America and helped shape the LCS into what it is today.

The Challenge

A key goal of the film was to not only honor the past but also spotlight the future by introducing the next generation of pro players. However, due to scheduling conflicts with the league, we were unable to feature any of the current pros in the video—an obstacle that required creative solutions to still deliver on that narrative balance.
Tomorrow We Fight

The Solution

Instead of featuring current pro players, we pivoted the creative strategy to center entirely on the legends of the past as a way to symbolically usher in the next generation. We designed three distinct set locations—Reflection, Remembrance, and Honor stations—where these icons could look back on their careers alongside friends they hadn’t seen in years. The result was a series of authentic, unscripted moments that resonated deeply with longtime fans.
Tomorrow We Fight

The Results

The film received overwhelming positive feedback from both fans and pros. It struck the perfect balance of nostalgia and forward momentum—celebrating the league’s legacy while looking ahead. The video was viewed over 10 million times across social media and was nominated for Best Esports Video at the Esports Awards.
